Een 'kosten-neutrale', duurzame versterking van de zeewering
De gebruikelijke techniek om zand op te spuiten is gebaseerd op het grootverbruik van fossiele brandstoffen. Het voornemen van de overheid om bij herhaling op grote schaal zand op te laten spuiten, staat dus in contrast met het voornemen om de CO2 uitstoot te verminderen. En dat terwijl er in het gebied waar het zand opgezogen wordt windmolenparken gebouwd worden die hun stroom 's nachts niet aan het stroomnet kwijt kunnen en die stroom dus verloren gaat.
